You would never suspect L.A. of being a foodie town, would you? I didn’t. Not until a couple of weekends ago, anyway. There are over 8,000 restaurants in that city. You could literally not eat at the same place for every meal of the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack) for FIVE YEARS. Craaaazzy.
Justin and I went to visit his brother and sister-in-law in L.A. So much fun. I had my first brush with power yoga in Santa Monica, and though I hurt so much the next couple of days, I want to go back…. Obviously, I will have to start taking classes locally, because I’m not sure this is going to be sated so easily.
I’ve also been writing more these past few days than I have in the past month. It’s not really original work, just little snippets of exploring pre-existing characters, but I’m simply glad to be getting some of the mojo back! I think that I should not plan so much, and just do. Profound, yeah? And applicable to so many things.
I’ve been bookmarking a few DIY activities, and I’m still working up the motivation to start knitting again. My cousin’s having a baby! We’re all pretty positive it’ll be a little boy (doc’s positive too), but I’ll reserve judgement ’til s/he’s here in December.
Anywho, I’m knitting her a baby blanket, and let me tell you, the yarn ball is HUGE. It was literally a pound of yarn in the skein, and I’m a little scared of it, truth be told. *pokes intrusive ball of yarn* It’s sitting on my coffee table, staring at me. Challenging me. Invading the space reserved for my IKEA catalog and coffee-table books.
Some of the ones I’ve been admiring:
I’m pretty excited to do these. I’ll post them as I do them. Whenever that happens to be.

I love the string art, I stumbled across it a little while ago and fell in love. Everything is almost bought now and going to enjoy doing this little project soon. My word is going to be ‘passion’ for some reasons it deeply resonates with me.
I love power yoga too! I’ve seen really great results
